Manchester United new boy Bastian Schweinsteiger wants to take his teammates on a trip after they won their first Premier League match at Old Trafford on Saturday.

"The Ultimate Professional" as quoted by Van Gaal wants to take his teammates to Germany to Oktoberfest, a beer drinking festival.

Schweinsteiger made his debut on Saturday after coming on as a second half substitute to replace Michael Carrick and the German received a standing ovation from the Old Trafford faithful and he did justice to the fans with a rather professional performance.

He completed 21 out of his 23 passes in the game and that goes to show why Louis Van Gaal was so eager to have the German Captain at the club.

Oktoberfest having been a big tradition for the Bayern Munich players, Schweinsteiger seems to want to emulate that with his mew teammates in Manchester.

The German International has won eight Bundesliga titles, seven DFB-Pokal and the Champions League to top it off with the 2014 World Cup but he will have to adapt to life in England which he seems to be doing very well since his transfer.

The major question here is whether Louis Van Gaal will allow this for his team, the Dutchman is known for his strictness and discipline and such a request might not amuse him but we never know, the United team could well be chugging beers down and enjoying Oktoberfest

Schweinsteiger is claimed to have spoken and discussed with Rooney over this as well but I guess we'll just have to wait and see when the time is right.
