Celta Vigo star Nolito has confirmed that he could return to Barcelona, but has insisted that he is yet to receive an offer from the club.

As reported by Goal.com, the Spanish international claims that he will only leave Celta if Barcelona come in for him in this transfer window.

In fact, the same report suggests that Nolito could replace Pedro, who is seemingly closing in on a move to Premier League giants Manchester United.

"I go there or I stay at Celta, no matter what team comes in," he told a press conference.

"I've had a lot of offers, financially to earn much more money, but I'm happy here, I feel like a player and I have the affection of the fans.

Barcelona or Celta

"I repeat: I go to Barcelona or I stay at Celta."

"What's being said [about a deal being agreed] is a lie. I've had no offer from Barcelona," he said.

"As I said at the time, Celta are in charge because there is an €18 million [release] clause. Yes, it's true that I've had offers from other teams but I took the decision to stay here.

Transfer ban

There is, of course, the small issue of Barcelona's transfer ban to contend with. The Catalans, who have already secured the services of Arda Turan in this transfer window, will be unable to play any of their new signings until January.

But, if Pedro really does complete a move to Manchester United in the near future, then it's crucial that the club have a strategy in place to move forward.

Pedro will no doubt be a loss to the Spanish giants, who will be hoping to retain their European crown this term. One thing's for sure, though, the Spanish ace will prove a hit at Old Trafford under the guidance of Louis van Gaal.
