Roma frustrated by Livorno

Published Add your comment

Roma suffered a setback in their Serie A title ambitions as they were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom side Livorno at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

Mirko Vucinic had given Roma the lead shortly before the hour mark and although the Giallorossi enjoyed a hatful of chances to kill the game off, it was Livorno that found the back of the net thanks to substitute Alessandro Diamanti´s free-kick with seven minutes remaining.

Roma still had a chance to grab three points but Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia made a stunning late save from Daniele De Rossi´s close-range header to earn his team a point.
