Kevin Owens and Cesaro feud will hurt the loser's credibility

SummerSlam is just around the corner and the WWE universe are absolutely buzzing. There is one match that has yet to be announced but will inevitably happen, whether it be at SummerSlam, or at a later date, and that match is Kevin Owens vs Cesaro.

Now, don't get me wrong, i am not complaining about this match as these two are arguably two of the most tremendous athletes in WWE today, and if this match is booked, there is no doubt in my mind that it will be the best match of the night.

What is worrying about this match, is this: Cesaro is one of the hottest babyfaces in the company right now and his rise to the top has been slow, but effective. If he loses to Kevin Owens, his momentum will be completely stalled and he will be thrown straight back down to the undercard.

On the other hand, Kevin Owens did in his first match, what some men haven't been able to do in their whole careers. Beat John Cena, 1, 2, 3 in the middle of the ring. But since then, his momentum has died off, after then losing to Cena twice and losing his NXT title to Finn Balor, his once feared presence has seriously started to fade.

It also looks like Owens is going to lose his rematch with Balor for the title, and if this is the case, then Owens needs a win at SummerSlam to remain relevant.

So what are WWE's options here? My thoughts are that the match will ended with a screwy finish. But this would be such an anti-climax after what is almost certain to be an instant classic. Someone could come and help Owens which would really fire Cesaro up the next night on Raw which might just give him what he needs to keep the fans on his side.

I think Rusev would be the first candidate to consider as the interference because he has somewhat of a history with both men. Cesaro could be angry that Rusev lost him the match. Owens might be annoyed because he thought he could win on his own.

This would set up a Triple Threat Match on Raw where Cesaro pins Rusev. This will mean that both Cesaro and Owens look strong moving forward.

For those of you thinking that this will bury Rusev, I think the WWE have already burned that bridge when he lost clean to Cesaro and Roman Reigns on separate SmackDowns.

I can't see WWE creative doing this but I am just trying to think of a good solution to make both men still relevant. If this is the case though, I can honestly say that the next fitting feud for Owens would be Roman Reigns, after he leaves his lacklustre feud with Bray Wyatt.

Cesaro could move into the title picture and Owens and Reigns could bring the best out of each other, both in the ring and on the mic. This will also give both superstars time to develop their characters.
