Luis Suarez has claimed that his decision to leave Liverpool in order to sign for Barcelona last summer was vindicated by his successful first season in Spain.
As relayed by the Daily Express, the Uruguayan remains happy with having departed Merseyside for Catalonia, and claimed that he is currently plying his trade for the ‘best club in the world’.
Suarez broke Liverpool hearts when it was announced he would be leaving Brendan Rodgers’ fold after scoring 31 goals in a single Premier League season (2013/14), but he’s since gone on to become a major figure in Barcelona’s setup.

"It was the right decision,” Suarez said.
“Winning trophies was a part of my decision in joining Barcelona, but also as a family we knew it was the right decision even before I won a trophy.
“I am very happy at Barcelona – I am at the best club in the world.”

Indeed after combining well with Lionel Messi and Neymar last term - the trio scored well over 100 goals between them - it looks as though Suarez has lost nothing of the midas touch that so often haunted defenders in England.
He was on form again as Barca bested domestic rivals Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup 5-4 on Tuesday, and with Luis Enrique charged with replicating last season’s treble-winning success he’ll no doubt be a vital asset moving forward.
Liverpool and Suarez
Of course there may be some Liverpool fans of the opinion that Suarez could have still won trophies had he remained with the Reds.
In his final year at Anfield the club came closer to winning the Premier League than they have ever done before, and many believe that had he stayed they would have fared far better during the last campaign.
