SummerSlam match between John Cena and Seth Rollins to finish with both keeping their titles

Published 6 Comments

A possible spoiler for the ending of the title v title match at SummerSlam between the United States Champion John Cena, and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has been revealed, where both competitors keep their titles, according to reports.

Both competitors will put their titles on the line at the second biggest pay-per-view of the year on August 23, but neither are expected to win the other's championship.

According to Cageside Seats, the most likely outcome for the ending of the match is a finish that involves both guys keeping their titles. Whether this ends up being a finish by disqualification or outside interference remains to be seen. One possible finish could be Sheamus cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

As we saw on this week's Raw, the main event between Rollins and Randy Orton ended after the Money in the Bank briefcase holder entered the ring and attacked The Viper and The Architect.

He then tried to cash in his briefcase, but Orton stopped the match from happening by delivering an RKO to Sheamus. Could we see The Celtic Warrior try and cash in at SummerSlam as well?

What also adds speculation to the finish of this match is the design on Cena's new merchandise. The United States Champion new t-shirt design shows how many times he has been world champion, which is 15 times.

If Cena was to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, this would make him a 16 time world champion, and it would annoy a lot of fans that have purchased the t-shirt with the previous number. The chances of the WWE allowing this to happen is small, but the company has annoyed several fans in the past with results like this, so don't count it out.

Overall though, it appears Cena will not be winning at SummerSlam this year, but who does leave the event as WWE World Heavyweight Champion remains to be seen.
