Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola says no player is allowed to ignore his instructions, unless the player in question is Leo Messi.
The Spanish manager is currently under pressure to deliver Champions League success at the Allianz Arena after failing to recreate their treble winning success in 2013 under Jupp Heynckes.

He has a strict strategy for the season ahead and is insistent that every player must follow it to a tee if they are to achieve their targets. That is the way it has always been apparently.
However, Barcelona superstar Messi is the one exception to that rule. The Argentinian was and still is such a big star at the Nou Camp that he was allowed to carry on doing whatever he does best.
He told Bild, according to 101GreatGoals: “This year everybody will run as I want them to. I say how things are going to be, and you listen. There is only one player in the world who doesn’t have to, and that is Messi.”
Guardiola and Messi experienced the best years of their career together at Barcelona with the forward scoring an incredible 73 goals in Guardiola's final season in charge at the Nou Camp. Together they won 15 trophies at Barcelona between 2008 and 2012.
But it appears this beautiful relationship is well and truly over with Messi declaring that the two no longer spoke.
He said in May: "We had a great time when Pep was here. We won a lot of titles and I grew a lot – that was the time when I grew most as a footballer. We had a fantastic relationship when he was here.
“Since Pep left, we haven’t really seen each other – apart from an event for FIFA but apart from that we haven't kept the relationship going. We had a good relationship but we're not in contact."
