ROBERTO ON THE RADAR
Arsenal are interested in a shock move for Olympiacos goalkeeper Roberto, according to reports from Eurosport, citing Marca.
The Spanish publication are claiming the Gunners have enquired about the Spaniards availability with Olympiacos responding they will have to pay his release clause of £4.3 million.
The Gunners already have Petr Cech and David Ospina on their books having loaned out Wojciech Szczesny and Emilio Martinez for the season.
It would appear a deal for the 29-year-old Spaniard would signal an end to Ospina's career after just one year at the Emirates, despite his insistence he wants to remain at Arsenal.
ARSENAL NOT INTERESTED IN SEVILLA STAR
Arsene Wenger was adamant in his assertion that Arsenal are not interested in Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.
The Telegraph had reported that Wenger sent scouts to watch the Poland international in the Super Cup final, and was ready to meet the players €30million release clause.
However the Arsenal boss has since refuted those claims, saying he is not interested in bringing the 25-year-old to North London.
The French boss also said he expects Mathieu Flamini to stay at the club, signalling he will be the man to provide backup for Francis Coquelin.
Wenger has also confirmed that Danny Welbeck will be out of contention for up to three weeks despite reports he could start against Crystal Palace.
The Mail were reporting the England forward was in contention for a starting spot at Selhurst Park, however Wenger has denied those claims saying he some way off a return.
Welbeck has been out since April with a knee injury and missed the Gunners pre-season campaign.
Wenger has confirmed the former Manchester United man is yet to return to training so is some way off full fitness.
