Spalletti hit by injury crisis

Published Add your comment

Roma´s bid to stay in the title race has suffered a double blow with Matteo Ferrari and Alberto Aquilani ruled out of Saturday´s home match against Genoa.

The Giallorossi, who are four points behind Serie A leaders Internazionale with seven games remaining, will be without the duo after they suffered injuries in their 2-0 midweek Champions League defeat against Manchester United.

With Francesco Totti still out due to a thigh injury and midfielder David Pizarro serving a one-match ban, coach Luciano Spalletti will be nowhere near full strength against a Genoa team that is challenging for a place in the top six.
