The Premier League duo of Arsenal and Manchester City could swoop for Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze before the close of the transfer window.
This has exclusively been reported by John Richardson of the Express, who claims that the player's difficult relationship with boss Pep Guardiola has alerted England's big-boys.
Gotze, of course, is recognised as one of the leading players in the Bundesliga, so would no doubt prove a remarkable coup for either of Arsenal or City, as they go about improving their squads over the coming weeks.

Arsenal, of course, have only made one high-profile signing this summer, following the arrival of Petr Cech from rivals Chelsea, so fans would no doubt be pleased with the signing of Gotze despite the club already possessing many fine players in the attacking midfield department.
City, on the other hand, have already splashed the cash on Raheem Sterling from Liverpool, but it appears that Manuel Pellegrini and Co. at the Etihad could yet add to their squad, as they go in search of overhauling Chelsea at the summit of the Premier League table this time round.
Ultimately, it's not everyday a player like Gotze becomes available, so it's not entirely surprising that both City and Arsenal are showing interest in him.
At the end of the day, he'd prove a fine asset to either club, even if they could do with prioritising elsewhere.
Arsenal, of course, could do with adding a world-class striker to their ranks, while City still appear to be vulnerable at the back despite Vincent Kompany's fine performance against West Brom on Monday night. Gotze, though, would be a hard one to turn down for either club.
