Manchester United have not made a transfer bid for Lazio star Lucas Biglia and have no interest in signing him this summer, according to The Mirror.
An outlandish report from Sun reporter Antony Kastrinakis claimed that Louis van Gaal was set to make Biglia his seventh summer signing after launching a £17.5million bid.
But, as is usually the case with the ever-confident Kastrinakis, the story appears to drawn out of nothing much but thin air.

The report in today's Mirror claims to have spoken to an Old Trafford source about their reported interest in the midfielder and told that there was never any interest from them.
While Manchester United are still looking for a marquee attacker before, a new goalkeeper and possibly a defender before the window closes, the midfield is one place they seem fully stocked.
Player sales in mind
The fact that Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger have joined the likes of Daley Blind, Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini at Old Trafford already this summer suggests that a player like Biglia is not at the forefront of Van Gaal's mind.
Lazio will, however, have to consider a couple of notable player sales if they do not qualify for the Champions League group stages. They face a tough play-off against Bayer Leverkusen and need the TV revenue that comes with competing in Europe's premier competition.
It is therefore conceivable that Lazio's media think tank leaked the story about Manchester United's interest to try and alert other club's to Biglia's potential availability. Their asking price remains at £35m for now, but could be lowered if their need to sell becomes more urgent.
Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the 29-year-old with former Napoli boss Rafa Benitez supposedly keen to reinforce his squad with the Argentinian playmaker.
