Alexis Sanchez takes to Instagram after Arsenal victory

Published 6 Comments

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has taken to Instagram following the Gunners' 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this afternoon.

Sanchez made his first start of the season for the north London outfit as they secured all three points against Alan Pardew's side, and he has insisted that Arsenal 'are going for more' after the important win.

Arsene Wenger's side, of course, lost their opening fixture in England's elite division after they suffered a home defeat to West Ham United, however Sanchez and Co. bounced back in today's tough fixture.

Olivier Giroud handed Arsenal the lead, while Alexis Sanchez played a huge role in the winner, as Damian Delaney put the ball through his own goal following the Chilean's powerful header.

Sanchez had to be replaced in the latter stages of the game as he makes his way back to full fitness, but he would have certainly been satisfied with his performance.

The talisman

And when Sanchez reaches full fitness, he really will prove the talisman for the Gunners as they go in search of overhauling Chelsea at the summit of the Premier League table this season.

There's no doubt about it, the former Barcelona star really is one of the standout players in the division, and may well look to emulate what Eden Hazard did for Chelsea last term.

Sanchez, of course, was brilliant in 2014/15, too, but he will be hoping to improve even further in this campaign. And if he does, then Arsenal stand a great chance of securing success on the domestic scene this term.
