Another day, another set back for a Cleveland Browns quarterback.
After the drama that surrounding the Browns' QB corp in 2014, in particular the antics of one Johnny Manziel, Cleveland had been enjoying a rather more subdued preseason this time around.
Unfortunately, whilst Manziel continues to show signs of improvement, it was another Browns quarterback who has been handed some tough news today with reports suggesting his season could be over before it has even begun.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, fellow 2014 recruit Connor Shaw is facing the season-ending IR list after requiring surgery on a thumb injury.
Shaw suffered a broken thumb during the Browns' pre-season opener against the Washington Redskins last Thursday and it now looks like he will have to sit out the entirety of what would be his second year in the NFL.
“I feel for Connor because he has worked extremely hard,” said Browns head coach Mike Pettine.
“He's a competitor and has had a great offseason and a good camp so far. He is good for the quarterback room and it's unfortunate that this injury won't allow him to compete.”
Shaw went undrafted in 2014 but actually ended his rookie season in the starting spot for Cleveland due to injuries to Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel.
In his one game as starter Shaw threw for 177 yards (14/28) and recorded one interception.
Coming off the back of an impressive pre-season the 23-year-old would have been hoping to push Manziel for the role of back up to likely starter Josh McCown. As it is though, Johnny Football's competition in 2015 just decreased by one.
