Stone Cold Steve Austin recently said he'd had to shed 50 pounds before he got back in the WWE ring.
That doesn't mean that the legendary wrestler is staying away from the company's biggest events all together, however.
As reported by PW Insider, although Austin won't be on the match card at the forthcoming SummerSlam PPV, Stone Cold will be playing an important role for the WWE at other events during the weekend.

Amongst these"major roles" will be a front and center appearance in the latest 2K promotional event ahead of the release of WWE 2K16. With Stone Cold the cover star for the latest instalment fans will no doubt have the opportunity to grill the veteran wrestler.
Of course, with Austin set to be in New York on the weekend of the event there will be some fans who can't help but dream of a surprise appearance by the Texas Rattlesnake at the Barclays Center on August 23rd.
Unfortunately that looks unlikely at this stage, but never say never when it comes to the WWE.
With Steve Austin's name continuing to come up when talk turns to legends returning for WrestleMania 32 in 2016 the Attitude Era Superstar will have to get some practice in before the AT&T Stadium extravaganza you would of thought.
And, judging by his recent comments suggesting he is a little rusty when it comes to in-ring work, you wouldn't bet against Vince McMahon trying to twist Austin's arm into stunning the audience at the Barclays Center.
It would certainly go down as one of the most memorable moments, plus it would help sell a few more of those WWE 2K16 games with Stone Cold's face adorning the front cover.
