Manchester United remain hot on the tail of Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia, with their attempts to sign him so far causing friction in the Serie A outfit's camp.
That’s according to Italian source TuttoSport, who say that United are ‘wooing’ Biglia ahead of a possible move. It was claimed earlier this month that the Red Devils had agreed terms with the midfielder and only needed to thrash out negotiations with Lazio.
With Louis van Gaal having already landed Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin it remains to be seen just how far he’ll go to obtain Biglia, though if speculation is anything to go the Argentina international could be the Dutchman’s third big midfield purchase of the summer.

That’s certainly what TuttoSport imply, as ahead of their Champions League qualifying showdown with Bayer Leverkusen Lazio are supposedly concerned about the harmony in the squad.
This might imply that they believe there is a chance Biglia could leave for Old Trafford, which on paper would certainly make perfect sense.
The 29-year-old is approaching the final years of his career and thus far hasn’t had the chance to play for one of Europe’s so-called ‘super powers’.
With that in mind the idea that he would push for a United transfer is hardly far-fetched. He might have more of a task getting into the starting XI than he does at Lazio - he’s just been named captain there - but with that gamble comes the prospect of trophies and glory.
