Manchester United have made a bid of €85 million for Bayern striker Thomas Muller, according to Christian Falk of German publication Bild.
Falk to Twitter to claim that United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has finally made a huge offer to the Bavarians, as the Red Devils go in search of improving their front line before the close of the transfer window.
Muller, of course, is recognised as one of the leading strikers in world football, so it's not entirely surprising that the Old Trafford outfit are hoping to secure the player's signature, but it's far from certain as to whether Bayern will sell.

There's no doubt about it, after the departures of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao over the course of the summer period, the Red Devils are clearly in need of added options in attack.
As it stands, United only really have the duo of James Wilson and Javier Hernandez competing with captain Wayne Rooney up front, while the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj can also star in attack when called upon.
The signing of Muller, though, really would send a message to Manchester United's title rivals, as the club go in search of success on the domestic scene this term.
Ultimately, the German international is one of the standout forwards in world football, and really would add to the United attack, as Louis van Gaal continues to change the dynamics of his squad in Manchester.
And, in truth, Wayne Rooney could do with the added competition, as he goes in search of finding his best form for the Red Devils. The arrival of Muller would only help Rooney, too, as he'd no doubt thrive alongside the Bayern ace.
