Mario Balotelli has posted a video of himself training alone, taking part in some shooting practice with a Liverpool coach, and expressed his frustration through the use of emojis rather than words.

The Italian striker is seen successfully converting two shots into the corners of the empty net in the short video, but it’s the caption that sums up his current mood.

Balotelli posted an angry emoji, a sad-faced emoji, a praying-hands emoji and a red-faced emoji - indicating that he is far from happy with his current situation.

Liverpool are trying to find a buyer for the out-of-favour striker before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Brendan Rodgers has lost faith in the 25-year-old who scored a pitiful four goals in 28 appearances for Liverpool last season following his £16 million move from AC Milan 12 months ago.

Liverpool struggling to find a buyer

However, finding a club willing to meet Liverpool’s asking price and, more importantly, Balotelli’s wage demands is proving difficult for the Merseyside outfit.

The most likely outcome is that Balotelli will spend the 2015-16 campaign away from Anfield on loan.

The striker would then have the opportunity to prove his worth once again following a season which has seriously tarnished his reputation as a footballer.

It’s always been widely accepted that Balotelli possesses major talent but often lets himself down because of his inability to stay focused.

However, serious questions are now being asked - and rightly so - about whether he possessed such ability in the first place.

Liverpool fans offer support to Balotelli

Liverpool fans on Instagram, however, offered their support to the striker in the replies section.

“We still love you balo,” wrote one fan.

Another replied: “Mario never give up, you can still make a beautiful season! You are an extraordinary footballer.”

Another wrote: “Mr.Mario Dear, what Brendan Rogers Has Been putting you through These last couple of days no other manager would do this to a world class player and especially somebody who's on your level.

“For weeks now i have been thinking what a waste and disgrace Brendan Rogers IS and WILL be to Liverpool. ❤️ KEEP STRONG AND KEEP YOUR HEAD UP LFC FANS ARE BACKING YOU ❤️ @ mb459”
