Adidas has confirmed that their first kit as part of their 10 year sponsorship deal with Manchester United is the most successful in their history.
The German sportwear giant launched the new Red Devils' home strip earlier this month to much fanfare, and it appears as though the strip has been a hit with the fans too.
Adidas claim that since the launch of the new kit they have recorded over a month's worth of forecasted sales within the first five days, with a reported a 200 per cent rise in day one sales compared to last year's launch being reported by retailers across the world.

They add that their Manchester city centre branch reported a week's worth of sales on the first day.
The news is a strong start for Adidas who committed a reported £750 million across the 10-year-deal to be associated with Manchester United.
The sportswear firm agreed the deal which bought to an end Nike's 13-year partnership with the Red Devils on August 1.
Global general manager for Adidas football Markus Baumann said: 'Adidas is immensely proud to officially launch our Manchester United partnership, a deal that over the next ten years will bring two of the world’s leading sports brands together.
'The partnership has already delivered record breaking results through a campaign that has reached millions of fans worldwide and shattered sales records for the new home shirt across the globe. We look forward to building upon this success and to continue to grow the partnership in the years to come.'
Next up for Manchester United and Adidas is the launch of their third kit this season which is expected to come later this month. Images surfacing on the internet claim the strip will be black. A white away strip is already available.
