Another edition of Monday night football is featured this week with a heavyweight clash - Arsenal vs Liverpool, in what should be a fascinating encounter. Both sides come into this game fresh from victories last week, so how will the match be won? We take a look at the vital factors that will influence the game.
Jordan Henderson's Fitness
Henderson, Liverpool's new captain and vocal point in the midfield, has been struggling with an ankle injury the past couple of weeks.
The Liverpool captain was forced to take pain-killing injections prior to last weeks match against Bournemouth, and his presence was severely missed once he left pitch early in the second half.

If Henderson is able to start against Arsenal it will be a huge boost for Brendan Rodgers' side, however it is unlikely he will make the full 90 minutes.
Giroud has had an up and down opening two weeks of the season, a poor performance which frustrated the Gunner's fans in the opening day defeat to West Ham was followed by a spectacular goal in the victory against Crystal Palace.

The much maligned Frenchman is vital up front for Arsenal, when he performs Arsenal tend to win. Although many fans call for Wenger to open the chequebook and sign a big name striker, Giroud will be determined to prove them wrong on Monday night.
Liverpool and Arsenal have had very different starts to the season, most notably in defence.
Arsenal's back four have shipped three goals in the first two games, whilst Liverpool are yet to concede this season. Although this is very early, it is in stark contrast to last season where Liverpool's defence was regarded as particularly soft, whilst Arsenal were consistently solid.
If Liverpool can maintain their rock solid form it may not be possible for Arsenal to come away with a victory.

This early season game between two top four contenders may prove to be a close affair, however Liverpool's tight defence could finally be breached as Arsenal pack far too much fire power in attack. Christian Benteke will likely cause Arsenal plenty of problems, but it may not be enough for Brendan Rodger's side.
