Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs claims goalkeeper Tim Wiese deserves a call-up to the Germany squad after his two penalty saves helped them to a 3-0 win over Sporting Braga in the first leg of their UEFA Cup clash.
Naldo, Daniel Jensen and Hugo Almeida with an injury-time penalty of his own bagged the goals. But Wiese was the hero with first-half saves from Roland Linz and Jorginho - he has now saved three spot-kicks in two games after keeping out Luca Toni´s effort for Bayern Munich at the weekend.
Allofs the club´s official website: "He was the matchwinner. Tim has really developed in the last three months. He seems much more certain. Tim Wiese also clearly has to be in contention for the national team."
