Fans have pleaded with Morgan Schneiderlin to convince Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette to join Manchester United after the two players exchanged messages on Twitter earlier today.
Lacazette, who signed a new one-year deal with Lyon earlier this month, sent a tweet directly to the United midfielder regarding an adidas marketing campaign.
Schneiderlin responded to his fellow France international, and this prompted a series of excited tweets from optimistic Manchester United supporters.

Lacazette, 24, is currently one of the most sought-after strikers in world football following an extraordinary 2014-15 campaign in which he scored a superb 31 goals in 40 appearances for his current employers.
Several big clubs were linked with the forward over the summer months, but it seems the Frenchman will remain in Ligue 1 with Lyon for at least another year.
Lacazette has been below-par this month
However, Lacazette has endured a disappointing start to the 2015-16 season, failing to net a single goal in his first three appearances of the new campaign.
He was even booed by supporters after being substituted just after the hour mark in Lyon’s 2-1 home defeat to Rennes on Saturday.
United fans react on Twitter
A move to the Premier League, subsequently, might be more tempting than ever for Lacazette - and United fans want Schneiderlin to have a quiet word with his compatriot before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Lacazette must prove he's top class
Lacazette, like Tottenham’s Harry Kane, must prove that last season wasn’t a mere one-off in order to secure a dream move to a top European club.
But if he did become available before September 1, he’s certainly a striker Manchester United should consider bringing to Old Trafford.
