Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher has admitted that he can't believe the club signed Mario Balotelli last summer.
As reported by Sky Sports, Carragher, who was speaking on Monday Night Football last night, suggested the signing of Balotelli was a major mistake from the club.
Balotelli, of course, signed for Liverpool last summer, however failed to produce the goods on Merseyside. Ultimately, after scoring just one Premier League goal last time round, the Italian now looks set to depart the club sooner rather than later, with AC Milan seemingly ready to hand him a lifeline.

And Carragher is certainly hoping the striker moves on in the immediate future. The Reds legend stated: "The Balotelli one was a major mistake from the whole club, not just Brendan Rodgers but the transfer committee in bringing him in.
"The quicker he is moved on (the better). They have Benteke and Sturridge coming back. I still can't believe that they signed him. He hasn't worked out and he has to move on.
"He is kidding some coaches if he gets a move to AC Milan."
There's no doubt about it, with Balotelli seemingly on his way out, Liverpool fans should be pleased about the club's options in attack. With Christian Benteke at the club and England international Daniel Sturridge closing in on full fitness, Rodgers suddenly has a number of fine strikers at his disposal.
Of course, after Luis Suarez departed in favour of a move to Barcelona last summer, the Reds were clearly lacking in attack, but they now appear to have a number of goalscorers in their ranks, as they go in search of success on both the domestic and European scene.
If Sturridge can get back to his best and produce the goods alongside Benteke, then the Reds stand a great chance of securing a place in next year's Champions League competition.
