Huge bid forthcoming
United have been made abundantly aware that Thomas Muller is not for sale this summer, with Bayern Munich repeatedly stating that he is one of their most vital players.
Despite that, according to fresh reports, Louis van Gaal will have to be told at least one more time, as he’s plotting a final bid worth €80million.
The Dutchman is a huge fan of Muller and worked with him during his time at Bayern, but the Germany forward’s position as a key player under Pep Guardiola makes a difficult highly unlikely. Oh well, there’s always Neymar…
Elsewhere youngster Adnan Januzaj could yet leave Old Trafford if Van Gaal signs another forward. Don’t worry, United fans, the switch would only be on loan, but all the same his short-term future in Manchester appears to be shrouded in doubt.
The Belgium international has featured three times for United thus far, but that far from makes him an invaluable commodity.
Neymar still 'on'
Last but not least United are supposedly not put off by the £240m valuation attached to Barcelona star Neymar - cue widespread laughter.
The Brazilian was supposedly the subject of a £140m bid from Old Trafford yesterday - key word being supposedly - but even if Barca want another £100m for their forward the Red Devils won’t be put off.
We don’t know how some people have the gall.
