Bayern Munich ace Philipp Lahm has insisted that Manchester United transfer target Thomas Muller 'lives for Bayern'.
As reported by Goal.com, the German international suggested that his compatriot is a crucial player for the Bavarians, as the club go in search of continued success under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.
The subject of Muller's future has been one of debate in recent time, with Manchester United seemingly hopeful of bringing him to England sooner rather than later.

The Red Devils, of course, have had their problems in attack of late, with captain Wayne Rooney struggling for form, however Lahm isn't expecting his teammate to complete a move to Old Trafford anytime soon.
He stated: "Thomas is one of those role models who you can't attach a price-tag to. He lives for Bayern, he is a very, very important player for us," Lahm told Munchner Mekur.
United in need
One thing's for sure, though, Manchester United need to add a striker to their ranks before the close of the transfer window.
Ultimately, Rooney really is struggling to lead the line at Old Trafford, while there remains question marks over the likes of Javier Hernandez, Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj, so it's clear for all to see that the club must invest in a top, top name sooner rather than later.
Of course, the biggest challenge for the Manchester United hierarchy is that there aren't many world-class strikers available. No doubt Muller would prove a remarkable coup for the club, but it appears to be almost impossible for the Red Devils to land him.
