Jakub Blaszczykowski wanted by Manchester United and rivals

Published 3 Comments

The Premier League trio of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have been put on alert after reports claim Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski could depart the club before the close of the transfer window.

As reported by talkSPORT, it has been suggested that the English trio have an interest in the Polish international, who could now leave the Bundesliga behind sooner rather than later.

The report goes on to claim, citing Bild, that Spanish outfit Real Betis are interested in the player's signature, but could be priced out of a move because of the star's wage demands.

In fact, talkSPORT claim that Blaszczykowski, who hasn't featured in his side's opening three games this term, wants an increase on his current £1.8m a yearly salary.

That may well lead the Dortmund ace to England's elite division, but it's far from certain as to whether the trio of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool will step up their interest in him over the coming days.

One thing's for sure, the potential signing of Blaszczykowski for the likes of United and Co. would come as a surprise. He's certainly extremely talented, but at 29 years of age, would prove a risky signing for England's top clubs.

Experienced and classy, he'd certainly stand a great chance of securing success in the Premier League, especially from the wide areas, but it's a deal that wouldn't really make sense for the big-boys.

At this stage, though, it would be foolish to rule anything out, so don't be surprised if Manchester United, Arsenal and even Liverpool still act in the final few days of the market.
