Lazio ready for Leverkusen clash with UCL group place at stake

Published Add your comment

Lazio enter their clash with Leverkusen hoping to keep their good form going. The Italian side won the first leg 1-0, and opened up their Serie A campaign with victory over Bologna. However injuries are a major headache for Stefano Pioli's side. Lucas Biglia is out for a month with a calf injury, while 'keeper Federico Marcxhetti and forwards Filip Djordjevic and Miroslav Klose are also expected to miss the game. However Keita Balde - who scored the winner in the first leg - is fit, and Lazio will hope he can fire again to take them through to the group stage.
