Dallas Cowboys lose star to season-ending injury

We begin in the NFL where the Dallas Cowboys have become the latest team to lose a key player to a season-ending injury this preseason. Orlando Scandrick, the team’s lead cornerback, has been consigned to the sidelines for the 2015 season after Tuesday’s practice field injury was confirmed as a torn ACL and MCL. Elsewhere in the league two Super Bowl contenders have bolstered their rosters with veteran signings today. The Denver Broncos added Pro Bowl guard Evan Mathis on a one-year contract, whilst the Pittsburgh Steelers addressed quarterback depth issues by signing another former Eagle, Michael Vick. Across to the NBA, and speculation linking Metta World Peace to a shock return to the Los Angeles Lakers continues to grow.
