Leaders Internazionale were held to a goalless draw by Udinese on Sunday to bring an end to their eight-match winning streak in Serie A.

However, coach Roberto Mancini will be relieved his men kept their unbeaten league record intact after playing for 70 minutes with 10 men following the dismissal of Cesar at Stadio Friuli.

Champions League-chasing Udinese came into the match still reeling from last weekend´s defeat to AC Milan, who snatched the points with a late goal from Alberto Gilardino. And they seemed intent on making amends against Milan´s city rivals Inter with Simone Pepe curling an early free-kick narrowly over the bar.
