Manchester United chase of Thomas Muller looks set to come to an end with reports surfacing Bayern Munich have offered the forward a new contract.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Muller throughout the summer and were rumoured to be preparing a £75 million bid.
The talk of a move to Old Trafford has shaken the German giants enough for them to make moves towards a new deal for the 25-year-old.

Bayern's sporting director Mathias Sammer has declared on numerous occasions that Muller was not for sale and it seems the World Cup winner's future remains in Bavaria.
According to the Independent, citing SportBild, Munich are set to offer Muller a greatly improved offer at the Allianz Arena that will take his wage to £110,000-a-week.
The Red Devils have been chasing a number of high profile targets throughout the last couple of weeks and have been linked with big money moves for Neymar and Muller.
Having opted against signing Pedro the Red Devils could be set to end the transfer window without any further additions and Ed Woodward has come in for criticism from fans for travelling to Brugge with the United squad.
Man United's struggles in front of goal have been evident so far this season and many fans are hopeful the club can tie up a deal for a forward before the window ends.
However Louis van Gaal's assertion that Marouane Fellaini can play as a forward point towards the Dutch managers thought process beyond the transfer window.
United have a solid squad and have strengthened in a number of positions from last season, but for them to kick on even further you get the feeling they will need more additions before the window closes.
