he Seattle Seahawks have had somewhat of an up-and-down pre-season, to say the very least.
The Seahawks managed to tie down quarterback Russell Wilson and Bruce Irvin to new contracts, but fellow stars Kam Chancellor and Michael Bennett are unhappy at not receiving theirs. And then there is the sorry state of the Seahawks offensive line, which at the moment has absolutely no cohesion.
It seems that the aforementioned Chancellor could be holding out for a while longer still, with one teammate seemingly supporting his decision to refuse to play for the Seahawks.

Defensive end Michael Bennett recently said the Seahawks “should reward” Chancellor and now wide receiver Doug Baldwin said he supports Chancellor as well.
“I know exactly what he’s doing,” Baldwin said, according to the Seattle Times. “I support Kam Chancellor as a person. I know what he stands for, I know it’s a difficult time, both for the organization and for him. It’s part of what this team is."
Baldwin went on to add that this is something that the Seahawks just have to do if they want to keep one of their star players around, no matter that he signed a deal two years ago.
"It’s the price of success. It’s the talent here — so many guys that want to get paid that need to get paid. It’s the price of success. I’m always optimistic.”
While Chancellor is running the risk of losing money without getting a new contract from the team, he doesn’t seem to be losing the good will of his teammates. We'll see if that carries on when we reach the regular season.
