Although more shocked than excited, The New Day had reason to be nervous as the nine-time WWE Tag Team Champions made their way to the ring and immediately proved their dominance.
The duo's epic WWE return was a hit with every member of the crowd inside The Barclays Center last night and it seems the best is yet to come for fans of The Dudley Boyz. As What Culture reports, Dave Meltzer has revealed that the pair are set to be sticking around as WWE regulars for the foreseeable future.

Meltzer explained: "They're in, they are going to be in there as regulars in the Tag Team Division. They're going to feud with The New Day."
This is huge news not only for those who were tiring of The New Day's constantly positive and over-excited gimmick, but also for those who were looking to see more from the talent within this division of WWE.
The Dudley Boyz' appearance all but proves just what a legendary return can do for any section of the company and is certainly something WWE should consider for their Divas section, with the likes of Trish Stratus and Lita coming to mind.
For the Tag Team Division however, Meltzer went on to say how this is really only the start of what great things are to come: "It got over really big. It is going to elevate the tag titles to a much bigger level."
Bubba Ray and D-Von have already proved they have not lost any of the talent or popularity they had some years ago and despite being 44 and 43-years-old respectively, have still got what it takes to compete with the youngsters on the main roster.
This dynamic duo will undoubtedly pave the way in showing the likes of the Prime Time Players and The New Day what it takes to be the best as a tag team, with some memorable matches surely set to be created.
If the reception they received on Monday Night Raw this week is anything to go by then the entire WWE Universe, save the current Tag Team Division, will feel the decision to bring The Dudley Boyz back is one of the best decisions WWE has made of late.
