WWE: Video emerges of Sasha Banks suffering brutal neck injury

Published 13 Comments

The WWE had one hell of a weekend, with NXT Takeover, SummerSlam and Monday Night Raw all being incredible.

The best night of the entire three day span may well have been the Saturday, where NXT took over Brooklyn and put on one hell of a show in front of a sell-out crowd of 15,000 boisterous fans.

The card was headlined by a ladder match between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens for the NXT Title, but the real star of the show was the Women's Championship match, where Bayley overcame the odds to beat Sasha Banks and take home the belt.

Brutal Bump

However, losing the title wasn't the worst of Banks' problems at the weekend, as it seems that she took a very nasty looking injury during the match.

Video has surfaced of a bump that Banks took during her championship defense, which may go a long way to explaining why she hasn't wrestled since SummerSlam.

During the Banks-Bayley match, Bayley landed a reverse huracarana from the top rope to the mat. At the time, the camera angle presented made it look like both competitors came out unscathed, and Banks managed to keep going after the spot.

Painful Viewing

But, an Instagram user posted a slow motion video from the match shot from a different angle, which shows Banks taking the move on her head, which makes her neck move in a quite sickening way.

God that looks bad. It also might explain why Banks and Team B.A.D only were in the SummerSlam Divas match for a matter of minutes before being eliminated and why Banks hasn't wrestled since Sunday.

Let's hope it isn't too serious and that Banks will be back in the ring very soon.
