Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has moved to dispel any transfer speculation linking him with a move away from the Dutch giants.
Having played under current Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal at the 2014 World Cup for the Netherlands, Cillessen has long been linked as a potential replacement for current United goalkeeper David De Gea, should he choose to leave the club in this transfer window.
Even if De Gea does stay in this window, the fact he has only one year remaining on his current deal has left the United hierarchy with the difficult job of finding a suitable replacement.

Despite the rumours claiming that Cillessen would be his replacement, the player himself has thrown a spanner in the works with his comments to the media regarding any potential move.
Quoted in the Mirror as saying: “As far as I know, it has never been a thing. I, the club, or my agent have never heard anything. As for me, this season begins and ends at Ajax”.
This would appear to indicate that Cillessen is happy at current club Ajax, and is preparing to begin the new season under the pretence that he will remain there for its entirety.
United may still make offer
His comments, however give no indication to how he or his club will react should United lodge a concrete offer, and if this were to happen, both his stance and the stance of his club could change drastically.
Cillessen has made 93 appearances in total for current club Ajax, and is the Netherlands current international keeper, having amassed 21 caps over the last 3 years.
Cillessen also made headlines at the 2014 world cup, controversially being substituted for fellow keeper Tim Krul for the Netherlands quarter final penalty shoot-out against Costa Rica.
