After 10 weeks the Tough Enough champions were finally crowned this week, with one male and one female picking up a $250,000 WWE contract.
Over 11,000 audition tapes were sent in and 13 lucky individuals made up the cast. As each challenge passed one competitor was eliminated until we had our final four this week. The season did have its doubters. Many believed that the most gifted wrestlers who displayed more were voted out, thus making it a popularity contest.
Nevertheless, the WWE Performance Center will welcome Sara Lee and Josh who received the most votes. This means the 2015 Tough Enough runner ups are Amanda and ZZ.

In the final episode of this season, the focus was on the final four as they had one final opportunity to change the minds of the WWE Universe, in an attempt to sway the votes their way.
There was only one challenge this week. There was no gimmick challenges or anything of that sort. This week the final four were going to compete in their first ever match, live in front of the audience at Full Sail University and fans watching around the world.
This was their opportunity to put everything they have learnt into one match. From their attire, to entrances, a promo and their finishers.
Amanda and Sara Lee were up first, as they took on Alicia Fox. The matches were a bit sloppy – which was expected – but they both did put on a decent performance.
Their promos were good, but Amanda definitely had the better finisher. In the end it was Fox who hit the Scissors Kick on them both for the win.
The guys had a tough challenge too. They were going up against the Swiss Superman, Cesaro.
ZZ and Josh looked great. Their entrances were good, their attire was also good but ZZ definitely stepped up this week.
It was tough to call who had the better match. Josh definitely looks like a superstar whilst ZZ does need the work. ZZ submitted to the Crossface whilst Cesaro pinned Josh after hitting the Neutralizer for the victory.
DID THEY DESERVE TO WIN?
This was the big question after every single episode. As it seemed that every single week, the new favourite was being voted off from the show.
It was a surprise to see some big names be voted off, starting with Daria before the eliminations of Patrick, GiGi and Mada surprised the judges and fans as they were the ones who displayed that they had what it took to succeed.
The biggest surprises came in the form of Sara Lee and ZZ.
They were seen as the two who many believed should have been eliminated early on and they were only being saved because they were popular, with not as much talent as everyone else.
At the same time you could argue that they did have something to offer. As Triple H said on the final, they connect with the WWE Universe which is what it’s all about.
I do believe Josh was the deserving winner, especially when he was up against ZZ. If it was down to Josh and somebody like Patrick, then it would have been a lot closer than voting suggested.
Josh has the perfect look. He’s now in great shape, he’s confident and he’s somebody who will definitely put the work in at the Performance Center. Don’t be surprised to see him succeed on NXT one day.
Sara Lee on the other hand, not as much. She connects with the WWE Universe which is good, but she definitely needs a lot of work.
I do think out of the two Amanda should have won that contract, but the WWE Universe had other ideas. All in all, I believe it should have down to Chelsea, GiGi and Amanda.
Sara Lee will also train at the Performance Center. Whether she can succeed and prove her doubters wrong remains to be seen.
WHO ELSE WILL EARN A CONTRACT?
This season's cast was definitely an impressive one. Whether they had a good look, whether they had charisma or whether they had actual wrestling ability – a lot of the cast have a future.
It depends on how many of them want to continue pursuing wrestling.
Josh and Sara Lee will start training at the Performance Center, and hopefully they will succeed in training and one day we see them on NXT television.
The WWE will obviously recognise their talents, and what they have to offer. The individuals themselves will also have an option to either sign a potential developmental deal if one is offered, or perform on the independent scene.
I can definitely see Patrick getting himself a contract. He’s passionate about the business, knowledgeable, in great shape, well-spoken, he can actually wrestle and is only 19 years old, so he definitely has a bright future ahead of him.
Mada is someone else who has a WWE look about him. He obviously needs work but he too could be a big asset to the company. I can see him being a developmental deal down the line.
Tanner, who was eliminated last week, was the best athlete in the competition. He had a lot of talent but lacked in the charismatic side of things. He’s mentioned how he’s going to attend acting classes, once he improves I can see him getting a developmental deal also.
ZZ is a tricky one. He has plenty of charisma and the fans can relate. I think the WWE will definitely keep him on their radar, if he can get into better shape then he too could have a future.
Along with Sara Lee, I can definitely see Amanda sticking around. She has the ‘it’ factor and can work, I don’t think she needs to worry about her future.
GiGi is someone who showed a lot of potential, winning plenty of challenges. She looks good, she has a personality and she could work. I expect her to also sign a potential deal in the future.
Chelsea is the best wrestler out of the women involved, she’s been on WWE television before so I imagine the WWE will keep her on their radar too.
This season is now in the books. It will definitely be remembered for the downs more than the ups, but hopefully the WWE can learn from this next time and improve on the format to make for a more successful show. Congratulations to Josh and Sara Lee, the newest WWE superstar and diva.
