Manchester United ace Jonny Evans is keen on moving to a big club if he leaves this summer, but former teammate Darren Fletcher has been trying to talk him into joining West Brom.
The Baggies have been linked with the Northern Ireland international as he’s edged closer to the Old Trafford exit door, but Everton are also thought to be lurking as the future of John Stones remains unclear.
As a result Evans is in two minds over who he wants to play for next, with Everton providing a bigger draw but Fletcher having praised the approach of Tony Pulis at The Hawthorns.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who infer that the presence of the Scot, who was a teammate of Evans for many years at United, might be enough to convince Evans to turn his back on Roberto Martinez and Goodison Park.
He’ll certainly be ready to listen to what Fletcher has to say at any rate. The defensive-midfielder became one of the most well-respected individuals at United during his time there, and his move to West Brom has coincided with them becoming a credible force in the Premier League.
A move definitely on
In any case a move away from Louis van Gaal’s fold looks inevitable for Evans, who has found himself dropped to the bottom of the Old Trafford pecking order.
He hasn’t featured since being sent off for supposedly spitting at Papis Cisse during a clash with Newcastle United at the back end of last term and now even Michael Carrick is supposedly ahead of him with regards to Van Gaal’s options at the heart of his defence.
A good addition
Unfair, perhaps, but he’ll make for a good addition to either West Brom or Everton anyway. At 27 he’s got plenty of experience to help a side pushing for European qualification, though it is the Merseysiders who look like being closer to that.
United fans, do you think Evans has served the Red Devils well? Is it right that he’s being sold? Let us know in the comments box below.
