The Champions League has its name for a reason, the best teams from all over Europe are thrown onto one table and released against one and another in shiny gleamy stadiums they call their battlegrounds.
However, before I get carried away with the anticipation, I analyse who exactly will be Manchester City's toughest group opponents this year.

Bare in mind, City have been thrown into Pot 2 alongside the two Madrid clubs and Manchester United. They also can't get either Porto, Arsenal, Valencia or Bayer Leverkusen.
So, here is the Blues' potentially most frightening group;
Pot One: FC Barcelona
By far the toughest opponents the citizens will be hoping to avoid so early in the contest, under Luis Enrique they thrived to a treble and absolutely torn defences to shreds with the likes of Neymar, Messi and Suarez - a frightening combination indeed.
Pot Three: Sevilla
Should they avoid the defending Champions in Pot one they could face another difficult trip to Spain in Sevilla. Surely this name out of being plucked of out of the pot draw at random will be the harshest of all the third pot seeds. High off a Europa League win last year and high on confidence. They should pose the toughest test out of the third pot seeds.
Pot Four: Wolfsburg
The blues are no strangers to the German outfit having been linked with their teenage sensation all summer, and they'll therefore be aware of the major threat poised. By far the worst possible outcome out of Pot Four, the likes of Naldo, De Bruyne and Dost will not be ideal to come up against. Especially out of the lowest seeds you could possibly have.
