Jeremy Maclin hits out at fantasy football players

Published 1 Comments

It goes without saying that the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver core desperately need a big year in the 2015 season.

Last year, not a single touchdown was scored by a wide receiver and the team have clearly picked up on that fact by signing former Philadelphia Eagles star Jeremy Maclin.

Turning it around

Maclin's signing was a big statement by Kansas City who are looking to dethrone the Denver Broncos in this year's AFC West.

Kansas have a lot to be positive about heading into the season with the likes of Maclin and runningback Jamaal Charles both heading up the offense.

However the team will need to be good to compete in what has quickly become a very packed AFC conference.

The high level of competition in the AFC is good for anyone playing Fantasy Football this year, top class players being spread out around teams is set to make the next year more interesting.

Maclin however has shown that he is not a fan of Fantasy Football by go on a Twitter rant against those who value their fantasy players above their team.

Arguably not a way to increase your connection with the fans, but you certainly have to admire the passion of Maclin for what happens on the field.

To question how people can be die hard fans is one thing, to then question the fans football knowledge is like opening Pandora's Box.

“It amazes me how ‘Fantasy Football’ is the only football that some of you know. It’s sad. News flash for yall: I don’t give a damn about ur 'Fantasy' football team. #ChiefsKingdom” - Maclin's tweet

So clearly, if you meet Jeremy Maclin, don't mention fantasy football.
