In those three loan spells the forward scored 17 goals in 103 appearances. During his time in Greece he scored 11 goals, including a stunning strike against Manchester United.

His performances during the 2014 World Cup led to his involvement in the Arsenal squad last season, but after making 10 appearances without scoring a goal, was loaned out to Spanish side Villarreal.
