Lyon have effectively confirmed the transfer of their former player Anthony Martial from AS Monaco to Manchester United after wishing the 19-year-old good luck ahead of his big-money move to Old Trafford.
United are expected to formally confirm the £36 million signing of Martial within the next few hours, and it’s understood the striker has already completed a medical with the Red Devils.
Lyon, according to the club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas, are set to receive €10 million from the deal - so, with that in mind, it’s little wonder why Lyon sent out the tweet in question earlier this afternoon.

Martial left Lyon in 2013 - at the age of 17 - after four years with the French club.
He only made four appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit before being signed by Monaco for €5 million - a fee that looks extremely small compared to the amount of money Manchester United have agreed to pay for his services.
Surprise in England and France
The news of Manchester United’s next signing caught everyone by surprise over the weekend - not just those in England, but France too.
French journalist Philippe Auclair told BBC Radio Five Live that people in France have been left “speechless” by the huge fee that Manchester United are paying for the teenager.
"Is he worth that amount of money? If you ask the people back in France they will say no he's not," he admitted. "This amount of money leaves people speechless in France.
"He's still a very raw product, we don't yet know how far Anthony Martial will go."
Martial is likely to be handed the number nine shirt at Manchester United - increasing the weight of expectation on his young shoulders yet further - and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the pressure during his first season at Old Trafford.
