According to NoDQ, Argentino had more than two dozen cuts and bruises, a possible sign of ‘mate abuse’ at the time of her death in 1983. The Argentino family won a $500,000 wrongful death case against Snuka in 1985.

However, the money was never received because the WWE Hall of Famer claimed he was broke and therefore couldn’t afford the payment for attorneys.

WrestlingNews have reported Snuka pleaded his innocence in his autobiography. He said according to the report: “Many terrible things have been written about me hurting Nancy and being responsible for her death, but they are not true. This has been very hard on me and very hard on my family. To this day, I get nasty notes and threats. It hurts. I never hit Nancy or threatened her.”

This is likely to be used in testimony against him if evidence emerges that he was directly involved. The WWE Hall of Famer was also charged with assault of Argentino in a separate incident four months prior to her death.

The WWE have commented on the situation according to NoDQ.

They said: “WWE expresses its continued sympathy to the Argentino family for their loss. Ultimately this legal matter will be decided by our judicial system.”

Snuka has also been in the news this past month as he was diagnosed with stomach cancer, but he underwent surgery and it was successful. He is still on the path of recovery.
