WWE: Tommaso Ciampa reportedly messes up NXT tryout match

Published 3 Comments

For every wrestler not working in the WWE right now, NXT is the place that they want to be.

NXT is easily the most exciting wrestling promotion around right now - with Lucha Underground in some sort of TV purgatory - with its matches and stars drawing rave reviews after every special event they have.

With so many wrestlers on the independent circuit desperately looking for that tryout for NXT, it were be heart-breaking and career destroying for them to mess that. This is exactly what Tommaso Ciampa might just have done.

Ciampa's Chance

Ciampa, who has wrestled for Ring of Honor and Global Force Wrestling among others, had a match with fellow tryout Johnny Gargano at the August 13th NXT TV tapings.

The two would-be NXT stars went up against Tyler Breeze and Solomon Crowe, in a match that will be show on TV as part of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. According to a report from Wrestling Inc, he may have screwed it up big time.

Messed It Up?

"I was told today that Ciampa may have messed up his potential deal as there were apparently issues with him at his WWE tryout," Marc Middleton wrote.

"Ciampa reportedly worked a match with Breeze and tried to get all of his important spots in, then complained after the match about Breeze "stiffing" him. This rubbed people in NXT the wrong way."

Blaming Breeze

Now, Tyler Breeze is one of the most veteran workers in NXT right now and is a sure fire lock to be promoted to the Main Roster in the next couple of months. That's how highly he is thought of in the WWE and NXT.

Breeze also regularly has excellent matches and is a top notch seller that can make his opponents look a lot better than they are. If Ciampa is complaining about Breeze, then that definitely says a lot about him rather than Tyler. And it does not look good for Ciampa.
