Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has tipped goalkeeper David de Gea to have another 'very, very good' year with the Red Devils after the shot-stopper failed to move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, reports the Telegraph.
De Gea looked all but set to complete a move to the Spanish giants on Monday afternoon, however the deal collapsed late on, meaning the back-to-back Manchester United Player of the Year will now continue for the club for the remainder of the season.
And Herrera has backed his compatriot to shine at the Theatre of Dreams once again, claiming that De Gea is the 'best goalkeeper in the world'.

Herrera stated: “David is my friend and I want the best for him.
“He has had a very, very good four years for United and he will do it again. He is a very good professional, you can see that every day . For me, he is the best goalkeeper in the world and I think for many people, the same.”
Herrera is right
There's no doubt about it, despite the fallout after the player's failed transfer, it's crucial that the Manchester United hierarchy manage to find a way of getting De Gea back on side in Manchester.
At the end of the day, the Spanish international really is one of the leading 'keepers in world football, and Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal must play him sooner rather than later if he's serious about overhauling Chelsea at the summit of the Premier League table this term. De Gea, once again, may well prove the difference for the Red Devils.
