Though he missed out on a marquee name, many reports believe Louis van Gaal to be happy with the business conducted at Manchester United this transfer window. 

Six new faces have walked into Old Trafford in a bid to help the club mount a title challenge having only just qualified for the Champions League last season.

Two of the players he landed last season have already left for pastures new, so the Dutchman will be hoping his current crop decide to stick around for the long term.

Van Gaal has now spent a massive £252.7 million on new faces since he arrived to replace David Moyes last summer, resulting in a squad that bears practically no resemblance to the one he inherited.
