That Messi and Ronaldo are ranked one and two, respectively, will come as little surprise to FIFA 16 players - but what about the other eight stars in the top 10?
Well, Messi’s Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez is the third-best player in the game with a rating of 90, which few will argue against.
Robben (well) above Bale?
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has the same rating, as does Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, which is probably a little generous on the ageing Netherlands international.
Chelsea star Eden Hazard is sixth with an 89/100 rating - the same score as Paris Saint-Germain’s mercurial forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Neymar is next with a rating of 88 - arguably a little too low for the Ballon d’Or contender - and the same score is handed to PSG defender Thiago Silva and Manchester City’s diminutive playmaker David Silva.
Notable omissions from the top 10 include Andres Iniesta and Sergio Aguero, who have 88 and 87 ratings in FIFA 16, while Manchester United’s highest-ranked player is David de Gea with a rating of 86.
Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, meanwhile, is way down in 23rd place with a rating of 87. Surely the Wales international should have made the top 10?
