Lyon have claimed Rangers have been handed an advantage ahead of their crunch Champions League clash at Ibrox next week by being given the weekend off.

The Scottish Premier League agreed to postpone the Govan side´s live televised clash with Gretna at Fir Park on Sunday to allow them more time to prepare for the match against the French club.

Lyon General manager Marino Faccioli said: "It´s a big advantage to Rangers because their players will be fresher and they will have more time to focus on the game than we do."
