Manchester United star Memphis Depay's hopes on playing at Euro 2016 were dealt a huge blow, as the Netherlands fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Turkey.
The result means automatic qualification is impossible for the Dutch to achieve and they current sit fourth in Group A, two points behind Turkey, with two games left.
Memphis and his compatriots will be scratching their heads at their fall from grace, having made it to the semi-finals of last summer's World Cup, but if there was one shining light for the Oranje, it was the performance of the Old Trafford winger.

The 21-year-old was a constant threat down the left side as the Netherlands dominated possession without making it count.
Danny Blind's men enjoyed 68% per cent of the ball and had more shots on target, but their woeful finishing cost them any chance of taking something from the vital fixture.
Memphis' pace skill and trickery on the left caused numerous problems for Turkey right-back Sener Ozbayrakli, and he delivered a number of top-quality crosses throughout the game.
Two deliveries in particular stood out, in the first half he produced an excellent cross for the onrushing Davy Klaassen, but the Ajax midfielder could direct his effort on target.
In the second 45 minutes, the Manchester United player delivered another pinpoint ball to former team-mate Georginio Wijnaldum, but the Newcastle United man failed miserably with his attempted header.
In all it proved to be a highly disappointing night for Memphis and the Netherlands, as they face the prospect of being the biggest nation to miss out on next summer's event.
However the signs are good for Manchester United, if the former PSV man can produce performances of this quality, in particular his crossing, then he will provide a high amount of goals for the Red Devils this season.
