Transfer deadline day brought the usual frenzy of chaotic transfer dealings as managers around the country made the frantic finishing touches to their squads before the window slammed shut.
The main headlines involved Manchester United deciding to make Anthony Martial the most expensive teenager in football history in a £36 million deal before add-ons, whilst West Ham brought in no fewer than four players in the shape of Alex Song, Victor Moses, Nikica Jelavic and Michael Antonio, as they bolstered their ranks on a busy day of transfer activity.
With the window now firmly shut until the new year, GMS decided to take a look at some previous deadline day dealings, with mixed results.
