Three goals in a dramatic final surge kept Liverpool´s Champions League dreams alive as they defeated Porto 4-1 at a delirious Anfield.

Fernando Torres gave Liverpool an early lead, but after Lisandro Lopez equalised the Portuguese champions threatened to leave those dreams in tatters and even Rafael Benitez´s job on the line.

But when Torres scored his second with 12 minutes to go, Liverpool were on their way. A Steven Gerrard penalty and a late Peter Crouch header secured the win the Merseysiders needed so desperately.
