During his time in Scotland, Gary Hooper bagged 65 goals in 95 appearances for Celtic but has been unable to replicate his prolific scoring record since arriving at Norwich City in 2013.
Due to the form of Cameron Jerome and Lewis Grabban during Norwich City's 2014-2015 promotion campaign, Hooper has fallen down the ranks at Norwich City and was widely linked with a loan move during the summer transfer window.
Hooper saw proposed loan deals with Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham fall through on transfer deadline day, but the Scunthorpe Telegraph is today reporting that a move may still be back on when the Football League loan windows reopens on Wednesday.

Whether this happens will be down to Norwich City's manager Alex Neal and whether he believes that he has enough talent up front to justify sending Hooper out on loan.
If Gary Hooper was to leave Norwich City during the loan transfer window the Canaries would be left with Cameron Jerome, new signing Dieumerci Mbokani, Lewis Grabban and Kyle Lafferty as their only striking options.
Whilst four strikers should be enough options to satisfy Alex Neil's preferred play style of one up front, many would argue that this would still leave Norwich City with few striking options.
Cameron Jerome scored plenty of goals for Norwich City in the Championship last season but he has historically been less prolific in front of goal within the Premiership.
Dieumerci Mbokani is still awaiting a work permit so may be out of contention for the Canaries until this is granted and what happens in regards to Lewis Grabban is anyone's guess following his decision to go AWOL against cup rivals Rotherham on the 25 August 2015. Kyle Lafferty, although prolific for Northern Ireland, hasn't enjoyed the same proficiency for Norwich City since joining the canaries in 2014.
Although Gary Hooper is straining at the leash to leave Norwich to attain first team football he may find that he is required by the Canaries to simply make up the numbers
