WWE make last minute change to Kane's comeback

Published 31 Comments

The WWE appear to have made a last-minute adjustment to plans for tonight's RAW show that will leave fans of a certain Superstar disappointed.

According to NoDq.com, veteran wrestler Kane will no longer be making his comeback to the ring on RAW this evening, despite what recent advertisements for the Baltimore event had claimed.

No go

Kane has been out of action in the WWE for almost two months now, but it looks like that absence will be prolonged a little while longer, in part because of one fellow WWE Superstar.

NoDq reports that WWE advertising for the event now no longer includes reference to Kane, and they note that the powers that be have deemed the Superstar is "not needed" after the surprise addition of Sting to the show.

Time away

As alluded to above, Kane hasn't been seen in the ring since July 13 when, WWE claim, he suffered a broken ankle during the commotion that accompanied the Battleground contract signing between Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar.

However, as many who keep up to date with goings on outside the ring know, the real reason for Kane's time away in recent weeks is not injury. The veteran has actually been completing filming for a WWE Studios movie, '6:42.'

Dolph Ziggler was also on the shoot but returned to WWE TV back at SummerSlam, meaning Kane's return had been long overdue in the WWE Universe's eyes and people were intrigued to see how his return was handled tonight.

Some had even suggested a return to the masked Kane was on the cards. Now though, fans won't be getting any version of the veteran.

WWE fans: How should Kane return? Would bringing back the mask help his character? Have your say in the comments below...
